'Full Metal Jackie Certified…' front cover

To celebrate the release of her forthcoming book Full Metal Jackie Certified: The 50 Most Influential Heavy Metal Songs Of The '80s And The True Stories Behind Their Lyrics, Jackie Kajzer—aka "Full Metal Jackie"—will host a special book signing/release party Monday, December 21 at House Of Blues Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. The event will be held from 9pm-11pm in the club's second floor Voodoo Lounge, followed by an 11pm performance from hair metal legends Steel Panther in the venue. Those who attend the free book event will be eligible to purchase a discounted $10 ticket to see Steel Panther that night in their new Monday night home at House Of Blues Sunset Strip (open to those 18 and over).

Full Metal Jackie Certified… was written by Kajzer with Roger Lotring, with a foreword by Dave Mustaine of Megadeth. The book brings '80s metal to life through exclusive interviews with the artists that shaped the decade and classic photos by renowned rock photographer Mark Weiss—along with Kajzer's own unique perspective as a leading voice among metal fans and developer and host of the award-winning nationally syndicated metal radio show "Full Metal Jackie." Earlier this week, Kajzer was named FMQB's Metal Director/Host of the Year for the fourth time.

Full Metal Jackie Certified… is now available for pre-order here:

In addition, for those not able to attend the release party in Los Angeles, a limited number of signed copies of the book are available for purchase here: http://www.theomegaorder.com/FullMetalJackie.

Full Metal Jackie Certified… offers a backstage pass into the creative process behind the top metal songs of the 1980s. Available for pre-order now and in stores early January via Course Technology PTR, the book includes interviews with iconic rock artists offering insight into the inspiration behind such hits as Judas Priest's "Breaking the Law," AC/DC's "Back In Black," Motörhead's "Ace Of Spades," Megadeth's "Peace Sells," Pantera's "Cemetery Gates" and even Jane's Addiction's "Jane Says."

The book features songs that were not always the commercial favorites—analyzing lyrics that made social and personal statements that influenced the heavy metal audience, rather than mainstream pop culture. Included are songs that address nuclear armament, drug addiction, religion, suicide and governmental control. These songs are "Full Metal Jackie-certified" as important contributions to the metal genre that continue to have a lyrical impact on successive generations of fans.
