THE CLADDAGH FUND

The Claddagh Fund—the charity established in 2009 by Dropkick Murphys founder Ken Casey—has announced the winner of its "Lansdowne To Dublin" raffle. Carol A. Curley from Casselberry, Florida is the winner of an all expense paid trip to Dublin, Ireland to see Dropkick Murphys play at the Olympia Theatre on April 22, 2010. This raffle was made possible through the support of The Claddagh Fund's corporate partner EchoStor Technologies (www.EchoStor.com).

Over $20,000 was raised for charity through the raffle. Proceeds will be split between the Belvedere Youth Club in Dublin, Ireland (through the American Ireland Fund) and Springboard (www.springboard-opps.org) in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Since beginning in 1992, Springboard has been committed to supporting the positive development of people, communities and society within a local and global platform through building capacity, mutual understanding and peace. Springboard promotes the appreciation of diversity within local and global contexts to contribute to the development of civic leadership within society and especially among young people.

The Belvedere Youth Club is a children's center in Dublin, Ireland. The money donated will fund the "Weekend Holiday Program," a weekend retreat for inner city children who will travel free of charge to the Club's cottage in County Wexford to enjoy sports, arts and music in a relaxed environment.

The next fundraising event for The Claddagh Fund will be "Celebrity Oysterfest 2010" on May 12 from 6pm-10pm at 88 Wharf Riverfront Grille in Milton, MA, which is co-owned by Casey. The evening is sponsored by EchoStor Technologies and will be hosted by Dropkick Murphys and some of their famous friends. It also marks the grand opening of the restaurant's newly renovated patio. A limited number of tickets are available for $75 per person, which includes unlimited beer and wine, complimentary appetizers and raw bar.
