In advance of its September 7 release, Megadeth fans can get a sneak peak at the group's forthcoming Rust In Peace Live Blu-ray, DVD and CD (Shout! Factory) here: AOL Noisecreep has posted an exclusive video clip of "Holy Wars…The Punishment Due" captured on the final night of Megadeth's historic Rust In Peace 20th anniversary tour at the legendary Hollywood Palladium, not far from where Dave Mustaine formed the band in 1983.

Rust In Peace Live marks the return of original bassist David Ellefson (Megadeth 1983-2002) to the iconic multi-platinum group after eight years. Ellefson (bass) joins Mustaine (lead vocals, guitar), Shawn Drover (drums) and Chris Broderick (guitar). The Blu-ray, DVD and CD feature the entire Rust In Peace track listing, including all-time classics "Holy Wars…The Punishment Due" and "Hangar 18" along with bonus fan favorites from the rest of Megadeth's catalog, including "Symphony Of Destruction," "Peace Sells" and "Skin O' My Teeth."

The 80-minute Rust In Peace Live DVD (5.1 Dolby Surround 16:9 Widescreen) and Blu-ray (5.1 DTS Master Audio 1080p High Definition) were directed by Kerry Asmussen (Green Day, Jay-Z, Coachella) with audio mixed by Ryan Greene. The DVD and Blu-ray also feature behind-the-scenes footage, including a rare glimpse of the band rehearsing in their dressing room as they prepare to take the stage.

As Megadeth continue to tour the world, playing their landmark 1990 Rust In Peace album from front to back, the group is receiving early critical praise for Rust In Peace Live, as evidenced below.

"…it is clear that Mr. Mustaine is set to dominate the charts and indeed the world on the official release of this exquisite live DVD of the full album…it's epic…The band is on form, producing and demonstrating some of the very finest riffs and licks on the planet. It makes you realise how there are no upcoming artists who create the same musical and lyrical arrangements as the old school rock and metal kings…This DVD will have your jaw on the ground throughout."

—Dan Balchin,, July 29, 2010

"This is a breathtaking perspective to a technically brilliant yet face-smashing band, live in concert, delivering a piece of their most celebrated history."

—Aniruddh "Andrew" Bansal,, July 23, 2010

"…a contender for live album of the year. Rust In Peace Live is a must have purchase for Megadeth fans and could also serve as a proper introduction to the band's back catalog for newer fans of the band as well."

—Robert Williams,, August 1, 2010 (4/5 rating)

"If you have forgotten what a killer album this was, just take a look at this: "Holy Wars…Punishment Due," "Hanger 18," "Dawn Patrol," "Rust in Peace…Polaris" and "Take No Prisoners." Throw in "Skin O' My Teeth," "In My Darkest Hour," "Symphony Of Destruction" and, of course, "Peace Sells" and you have a great live album."

—Jeb Wright,, August 5, 2010 (A- rating)

Since rising to international fame in the 1980s, Megadeth has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, including six consecutive platinum albums, with eight consecutive Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance. Mustaine's recently-released book MUSTAINE: A Heavy Metal Memoir debuted at #15 on the New York Times best seller list in the Hardcover Nonfiction category.
