The first annual LA Spring Fair opens Friday, April 8 and continues through Sunday, April 17 at Toyota Speedway & Event Center in Irwindale, CA, conveniently located about 20 miles from Los Angeles in the heart of Southern California. The featured speedway events on Friday, April 15 will be the Boost Mobile FreestyleMX.com presented by Monster Energy and a monster truck competition.

Ten of the best motocross freestyle riders in the country will compete for top honors in an amazing FreestyleMX jumping competition, which will feature gravity-defying airborne stunts and jumps as the riders soar four stories over the speedway between take-off ramps that are 100 feet apart. In addition, a vert contest will be held where riders compete for the highest jump of the night on a special set of ramps.

The motocross riders confirmed for the 7:30pm event are: Jeff Kargola (Metal Mulisha), John Distler (IFMA), Robert Distler (IFMA), Matt Buyten (X-Games Gold Medalist), Jim McNeil (Jumping Jimmy, FMX Rider, X-Games), James Carter (FMX), Nickey Danielson (Metal Mulisha), Derrek Burlew (FMX), Kenny Bell (FMX) and Norman Veerbeck (from Holland).

Beginning at 6pm the same evening, four of the country's top monster trucks will compete in a freestyle jumping contest leading up to the biggest moment of the fair…a world record attempt for the longest jump in a monster truck. The record stands at 202 feet—70% of a football field. The monster trucks scheduled to appearing are: Terminator, Nasty Boy, Un-named and Un-tamed and Half Pint. In addition, the night will feature a special appearance by the Jet Powered, Fire Breathing Fire Engine. A monster truck will also be available for rides that day.

Later in the week—Wednesday, April 13 and Thursday, April 14—the LA Spring Fair will offer free admission to seniors, teachers, city workers, police, fire and military (active or retired, with military ID) personnel.

The all ages family event will provide eight days of non-stop entertainment (NASCAR racing, monster trucks, FreestyleMX and more), attractions, shopping, food and fun, with 50 rides (from high adrenaline thrills to leisurely family amusements and familiar kiddie rides) and midway games, along with top notch musical performers such as Bow Wow Wow, The Romantics, A Flock Of Seagulls, Loverboy, Rick Springfield, Bo Bice, Reyli and Kris Allen.

The LA Spring Fair will feature daily shows and exhibitions by Kent Family Circus, Kids' Celebration Game Show, Kyra Sundance and her Stunt Dog Team, Rainforest Exhibit and Educational Show, American Diving Dogs, Pirates, Movie Stunt Adventure and Swamp Master Alligator Show.

Regular adult ticket prices are only $10 in advance or $15 at the gate. Children's tickets are $5 and kids 5 years old and under are free. Each ticket provides access to that day's concerts (a feature unique in the Southern California fair circuit) and special events at the fair.
