ROTTEN TOMATO KARAOKE PARTY TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY

A sold-out crowd turned out for last week's Rotten Tomato Karaoke Party charity event in Boston, hosted by The Claddagh Fund and Dropkick Murphys.

The most memorable moment of the night was when Dropkick Murphys' Ken Casey was knocked off his feet by a tomato fastball thrown by Boston Red Sox pitcher Jonathan Papelbon. Video footage of the evening's carnage—both musical and vegetable—can be found here:

Celebrities in attendance—many of whom sang their favorite songs for the crowd while being pelted with rotten tomatoes—at the July 21 event at The Barking Crab included: Dropkick Murphys' Ken Casey, Tim Brennan and Scruffy Wallace, Jonathan Papelbon (Boston Red Sox), Shawn Thornton (Boston Bruins), Micky Ward (boxer, The Fighter), Josh Reddick (Boston Red Sox right fielder), Alida D'Angona (Miss Massachusetts USA 2010), Heidi Watney (NESN sports reporter), Scot Pollard (former Boston Celtics player), various New England Revolution soccer players, Jamie Bissonnette (chef/owner Copa & Toro, reality show Chopped), Jason Santos (chef/owner Blue Inc., reality show Hell's Kitchen) and radio DJ Adam 12 (WFNX, Boston), along with several local politicians.

The Claddagh Fund (www.claddaghfund.org) is a charity established by Dropkick Murphys founder/bassist/vocalist Ken Casey in support of non-profits that champion the causes of children, veterans and those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction.

Dropkick Murphys are touring in support of their Going Out In Style CD (Born & Bred Records/ILG), which debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200, marking the group's highest chart debut to date.
