DROPKICK MURPHYS
EXPAND SHAMROCK-N-ROLL FESTIVAL
WITH SEPTEMBER 16 PROVIDENCE, RI SHOW
AT KEN CASEY'S WHISKEY REPUBLIC

Dropkick Murphys have expanded their Shamrock-N-Roll Festival to include an additional New England date. With all 18,000 tickets for the band's two Fenway Park shows selling out in just 45 minutes, Dropkick Murphys are giving area fans another chance to catch them live September 16 in Providence, RI. For the Providence show, the Dropkick Murphys Shamrock-N-Roll Festival will be set-up as a 21 and up block party outside The Whiskey Republic (515 S. Water St.), the waterfront Irish pub-style restaurant and sports bar owned by Dropkick Murphys' Ken Casey and a group of friends.

As previously announced, Dropkick Murphys Shamrock-N-Roll Festival will kick off September 10 in Bangor, just after Dropkick Murphys' September 8 and 9 sold-out hometown shows at Boston's Fenway Park. The touring festival will feature Dropkick Murphys, Stiff Little Fingers, Street Dogs, Chuck Ragan, The Mahones, The Parkington Sisters and local bands performing on two alternating stages. A boxing demonstration and signing with special guest, renowned boxer "Irish" Micky Ward (The Fighter), will also be featured at the festival.
Tickets for the Providence Shamrock-N-Roll Festival go on sale Thursday, August 25 and are available for only $28.60 (including a $2.60 service fee), with $1 from each ticket sold to benefit the band's charity, The Claddagh Fund (www.claddaghfund.org). Go to www.dropkickmurphys.com to purchase tickets and for more information.
The critically-acclaimed Dropkick Murphys—known for their complex distillation of classic punk rock, Celtic folk and American rock 'n' roll—are touring in support of their Going Out In Style CD (Born & Bred Records), which debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200—the group's highest chart debut to date.
